A New, Exciting Season is Upon Us
By · CommentsSo? How was your summer? Ours was fantastic . . . and busy!
June marked the start of Wedding Season, Corporate Picnics and Team-Building Events, Block Parties and Street festivals.
We had a blast taking our “Tween Show” on the road and visiting all the Midwestern summer camps.
The July 4th weekend signaled the official end to “Bar Mitzvah Season,” which gave us a chance to bring life to new ideas and get ready for the next wave that hits once kids get back from camp in August.
And, it has hit!
Last week, we enjoyed Back-2-School events, Mitzvahs, a Wedding, a Country Club Member’s Pool Party, a Sweet 16, and a special performance at Buffalo Grove’s Disabilities Day (now in our 10th year at their festival)!
Now, here are a couple upcoming events:
On Thursday September 15, Personalities will be performing at Pinstripes in South Barrington from 6 to 9 p.m., for a special event showcase hosted by Pinstripes & PlanTheBestParty.com
This FREE event will be perfect for anyone planning a Wedding, Bar Mitzvah or Corporate Event who is looking to meet the best vendors around.
On Sunday September 18, Personalities is helping sponsor Ryan’s Run – 5k Run/Walk at Century Park in Vernon Hills.
During this family friendly event, runners will enjoy a scenic 5K run/walk around Big and Little Bear Lakes while families participate in various activities including:
*Kiddie sprint for young children
*A performance by children’s entertainer Joel Frankel
*Magic by Randy (Randy Bernstein)
*Inflatable Bounce House by Clowning Around
*Balloon entertainer Marc Machtinger
*Face painting
And, of course, Personalities Inc.’s own Lou Loiben will emcee the event.

Busy Busy Springtime!

Hey Everyone! Personalities Inc. has been so busy lately! Things have really been great for us all and we wanted to thank you for your continued support. Every week Personalities crews head out to perform Chicago’s best events. Whether it be a Bar/Bat Mitzvah, Corporate Event, Social Function, or Block Party, Personalities brings the FUN! Our dancers were just part of a Flash Mob. For those of you who do not know, a Flash Mob consists of a typical social setting (a train station, for example) and a dancer just starts dancing. Before anyone realizes what is going on, many other dancers jump in and perform a choreographed routine. This shock and high level of skill instantly creates a fantastic atmosphere. Our flash mob was to perform at a cocktail hour of a corporate event, and brought down the HOUSE! Kudos to the Personalities Staff for a job well done. Be sure to check us out on Facebook and tell your friends! We have been practicing weekly at our Warehouse, “The Groove”. ORT Party Planning Showcase

The Personalities team will be on hand with our DJ’s, Emcees, and Dancers again this year at the ORT Party Planning Showcase on January 30, 2011. It’s our 16th appearance at the show, and we’ll have special gifts, and exclusive offers for anyone who stops by our booth in the Northeast corner of the Big Tent that day. This annual event is a great resource for anyone getting ready to plan a party, a Mitzvah or a Wedding. Companies of all kinds will be in attendance to help you plan your special event.
Presented by ORT Chicago, this 20th annual event will help you plan your entire party in one day.

Personalities Celebrates New Site
By · CommentsWith 2011 getting under way, PERSONALITIES, INC. is proud to celebrate its SWEET 16! That’s right, back in 1995, we opened for business. Our humble beginnings saw our first “office/warehouse” in the Buffalo Grove condo of our company owner, Lou Loiben. As just a nugget of Personalities trivia, that BG address still comes up in random Google listings (9 Oak Creek Drive). So please if you’re looking for our offices, don’t go knocking at 9 Oak Creek.
We had 8 amazing years in Buffalo Grove, and still consider BG our home away from home. Our first real office there was at 219 Old McHenry Road in the BG Town Center Mall. We were right next Zweig’s Deli (memba them?). Then it was across town to 738 South BG Road. Our office was between Hanabi Sushi & New Golden Dragon Chinese Restaurant. Though we always had great dining options, we didn’t have enough space for events.
That was a big reason we moved our offices to Northbrook. Here we enjoy a mixed use space that houses our offices, warehousing, and our newly remodeled private nightclub area known as The Groove. I can’t even believe we’ve been here for 8 years already!
So as we kick off this next year, we’re proud to welcome you all to our new website, and strongly encourage anyone who has not checked us out lately, to put us on your list. We have a lot to offer, and we’d love to share with you all our new options available for your next event.
